Common Questions

What does a Hand Therapist do?

A hand therapist can be either an Occupational or Physical therapist who, through advanced study and certification, specializes in rehabilitating individuals with problems affecting the upper extremity - hands, wrists, arms, shoulders.

How long do I need to receive treatment?

Treatment duration can vary from one to three times a week for a total of three to four weeks on average.  Each patient's case is evaluated on an individual basis and treatment time can exceed the average, depending on the severity of the condition.  Each client can expect a 45 to 60 minute treatment sessions with a consistent therapist.

What insurances is your office contracted with?

We welcome clients from the military service (active and retired)  because we  are also contracted with the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) which means health care benefits for the military managed by TriWest Healthcare Alliance and Tricare Health Insurance are accepted in our facilities.

Please call our office to confirm if our providers are in network with your specific plan.

We also accept self-pay clients and offer prompt pay discounts and affordable payment plan options.

Do I need a doctor's prescription?

There are a number of insurance companies and/or medical insurance coverages that don't require doctor's prescription to receive treatment in our facilities.  Please call our office to find out if prescription is required.
